Bad Weather Arrangements
Clear guidance for severe weather days, with safety first and learning continuity maintained.
Safety first
We follow Hong Kong weather signals and keep the response clear, predictable, and easy to follow.
Simple rules
The 3-hour cancellation window and the in-progress rules are easy to check before each lesson.
Rescheduling support
When a class is cancelled because of weather, we arrange a makeup session without extra cost.
Policy guide
Weather signals and class response
The layout below shows the main weather situations first, then the rules that matter most for each one.
Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 or Above
We keep the response simple: if the signal changes close to the lesson start time, the class is cancelled; if it changes while a class is already in progress, students leave safely and the lesson is rescheduled.
Before class
If the signal is hoisted within 3 hours
If Signal No. 8 is hoisted within 3 hours prior to the scheduled start time, classes will be cancelled.
During class
Leave safely and reschedule
Students will be instructed to leave the premises immediately and the lesson will be rescheduled.
Black Rainstorm Arrangements
The black rainstorm rule is similar before class, but sessions already in progress continue until completion.
Before class
If the warning is hoisted within 3 hours
If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted within 3 hours prior to the scheduled start time, classes will be cancelled.
During class
Continue until completion
Classes will continue uninterrupted until their completion.
All Other Weather Signals
When these signals are in effect, classes continue as scheduled unless a specific announcement is made.
